SMR breeds stocker bucks for wide, tall-tined typical bucks that will power boost the genetics on your ranch for years to come.
In 2025, our 2-year-old stocker bucks had antlers that averaged 293” B&C. You’ll have no trouble knowing which bucks came from SMR genetics as you’re looking at the crowd around your feeder in the afternoon.
Most of the stocker bucks are 2-year-old deer, and occasionally there will be some 3-year-old bucks available. SMR delivers stocker bucks to ranches across Texas.
Timeline for stocker bucks
Mid-Summer
Ranchers visit SMR to ride through the pens to observe or select bucks. Ranchers can also request to be added to the buyers list without a personal visit.
Mid-August
SMR releases the Look Book for ranchers interested in available bucks. Bucks have their antlers fully grown by this time. Bucks are typically sold out by late August.
September
Bucks are delivered to ranches around daybreak for calmer releases.
